Pee

We woke up early this morning with all 3 boys in our bed, which is not totally uncommon to be honest. They sneak in in the middle of the night sometimes when they know we’ll be too tired to bring them back to bed.. (I not-so-secretly don’t mind it at all.) So we’re all snoozing away, super cuddly and cozy, when all of a sudden, Nephi starts freaking out because one of them had peed his pants.... right by him... Understandable.. I tried to keep everyone (mostly Nephi) calm and sent him back to bed in the guest room, haha....

Fast forward a couple hours later, and I am waking up with baby, noticing that he has peed through his diaper a little bit. No big deal, I thought, it’s not that bad. As I’m changing his diaper though, and he doesn’t do this often, he decides to pee on the bed too! So then the only boy left who didn’t pee was waking up, and of course, he thinks it’s hilarious... “So mom... He peed over there? ... and he peed over here?” Meanwhile there is just the biggest grin on his face. Haha. Jeeeeeez.

Fast forward again to game night with our friends tonight, and we discover that one of the boys has peed all over the bathroom floor instead of in the toilet for some reason??? Thankfully, these friends of ours are champs and still like us. I mean, I guess once you start having boys you just kind of have to accept that you’re going to have pee everywhere. 🤣

And no, there’s not a profound message to go along with this. I just want to let you know that you’re not alone in this parenthood thing, and we’re all covered in pee. Try to laugh about it. Take it easy on the kid. They didn’t do it on purpose, and they love you SO much. Make sure they know you love them too. You know what? I take it back. That is simple, but it is profound. And SO important. You got this.

Love, Beth
